The following motion wa» agreed to: "That this meeting is of opinion that the time is now opportune for a material change in the game and' the control of Rugby football,' and further is convinced that the adoption of the League game would be a step in the. direction of such a snange" Only a comparatively small section of thoss present Toted.
The New Zealand native team to meet Auckland on August 10 .will consist of the following players: Full-back, Hughes: three-quarters, Ryland, Winiata, and Rogers; five-eighths, Nuku and Kaipara; half-back, Piki; forwards, Hall'(wine) Sel ars, Walker, J. Martin, Tamil, Pini lakarangi, and Cunningham. Taranald isi represented bjT'Tainu, ■ Pini, and J Martin.
