EMPIRE PICTURE PALACH. A complete new programme will be shown at the Empire Picture Palace today at 2.30, and again to night, at 8. The new selection consists of the usual Empire variety, combined with excolence and an intelligent judgment of the public wants. The popular Vitagraph studio are represented with "Testing his Courage" (a dramatic subject of exceptional power), "Tom Tilling's Baby" (a screaming comedy, featuring the boy wonder, Kenneth Casey) and "The Cowboy Lover" (a Western romance with a strong vein of comedy). The topical events are again reproduced for Empire patrons per medium of Pathe's London Gazette and the Gaumont Graphic. In the Lubin drama, "The Surgeon's Heroism." the audience are treated to a powerful story, and some intense dramatic ability by the Lubin nctors. "The Loafer" is an S. & A. feature, and probably no other company can so well pourtray life "out back" as this maker. "On the Banks of the Danube" is a fine scenic study, and "From Ostrich Ef*g to Feather Boa" a unique industrial picture.
