THE TOTTERING- " FEDERATION." By Telegraph—Press Association. Wauganui, July 24. What is thought ■by some to be the beginning of a "rot." so far as the Federation of l»iUor is concerned, formed an incident in to-day's proceedings of the New Zealand Waterside Workers' Federation Conference.
The day was mostly occupied with the committee and routine business, which was. however, brightened up by tlie reading of a communication from the Grey•aiouth Waterside Workers' Union, stating that it had secedtd from the Federation of Labor and desired to return to its old controlling body, the Greymouth Union. It further stated that it wished to be represented at the conference, and asked Unit Mr. Ceo. Maekav. of Wanguniii, secretary of the Federation, be allowed to act as its delegate, without v.Mstini.' lime in recriminations or "I told you s:j's.''
