Sixty-seven North-Coast wharf laborers involved in the strike were charged at the Arbitration Court with participating in a strike to enforce the company's compliance with a demand not to employ sailors in the holds of the steamer Burringbar. The company claimed that the agreement with the wharf laborers permitted of such employment. In the first case the Court found that the men had not participated in a strike, and they were discharged. The other cases were adjourned.
