BOXING.
THE MASTERTON TOURNAMENT. By Telegraph—Press Association. s Masterton, Last Night. The Masterton Boxing Club held a tournament in the Town Hall to-night. The weather was unfavorable, but the attendance was good. The following are the results:— Light-weights (five rounds).—o. Cadwallader, (Carterton) won from R. Dare (Pahiatua). Dare was knocked down in the first round, and the referee stopped the fight. Middle-weights (five rounds).—J. 0. Hives (East Coast) defeated D. Hosking (Taueru).
Feather-weights.—G. Barr (Masterton) beat W. Mack (Wellington). The latter was disqualified for holding. S. Treweek (Manawatu) won from G. Hunt (Pahiatua). Light-weights.—A. Havill (Manawatu) beat S. Porter (Hastings). Heavy-weights.—T. Smith (Taueru) beat <S. Evans (Masterton).
