The British Medical Association at Liverpool passed resolutions approving of the rupture in negotiations, and urging that no members serve on an advisory committee in Britain or Ireland. LAND MONOPOLY. London, July 23. Mr. Outhwaite, the newly elected member for Hanley, speaking at Crewe, announced that Mr. Lloyd George will begin a campaign in the autumn to overthrow the land monopoly.
COMPULSORY SERVICE. London, Julv 23. Replying to Mr. Clough, Liberal member for Skipton, Mr. Harcourt, Secretary for the Colonies, said he was unable to give the numbers punished in New Zealand and Australia for refusing military training. "A GIGANTIC FRAUD." Received 24, 11.45 p.m. London, July 24. Thousands of farmers are passively resisting the Insurance Bill, 'Sir James Barr, addressing the British Medical Association at Liverpool, described the Bill as the most gigantic fraud since the South Sea Bubble. An invitation has been given to the Association to meet in New Zealand in 1014.
