TIMARU'S EXPERIENCE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Timaru, Last Night. The Education Board to-day deplored the shortage of teachers, having three times advertised for three assistantships in country schools. It was decided to advertise once more before appealing to the Department. One member suggested that there would be plenty of teachers after the next holidays at the training colleges. Another said that in many cases pupil teachers went to college, and no more was heard of them.
