AX UNFORTUNATE CONTRACTOR. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wanganui. Last Night. The Borough Council to-night considered the solicitor's opinion in regard to the council's position over the contract for the new bridge. The contracor has abandoned the work, as the piles will not drive. The council decided to give the contractor final notice to proceed with his contract.
