' Sydney, Tuesday.—Arrived, Northern Chief, from Auckland. Sydney, Tuesday.—Arrived, at 10 a.m., Ulimaroa., from Wellington. A ROUGH VOYAGE. A cable from Sydney states that the captain and crew of the harque Northern Chief, which reached Sydney from Auckland yesterday, report that it was the worst voyage they had ever experienced. The cargo of timber was safe. THE KAITUNA. 'Discharging operations on the fcaituna had to be suspended at noou yesterday on account of the flying coal-dust affecting the men on the trucks. It is now improbable that the vessel will get away to-day, there being still a large quantity of coal to he discharged.
THE CORINNA. The Corinna arrived from Wellington yesterday with 300 tons of slag and 150 tons of general cargo. She sailed for Timaru and Dunedin after discharging. THE RARAWA. The Rarawa brought 149 tons of cargo from Onehunga yesterday Morning, including 44 tons cement, 13 tons manure. 2!) tons flour, 20 tons sugar and 54 cases of fruit, in addition to 1300 ft of timber. THE ECHO. The Echo completed the discharge of her cargo of Puponga coal yesterday, but her departure for Mokau depended on the gale abating last evening. ) THE MANUREWA. The barque Hanurcwa, which arrived off the breakwater on Monday afternoon, •. is now lying at anchor off Moturoa. She 1 will probably be brought in to-day. The ! vessel has 100,000 ft of hardwood for the | Public Works Department. j THE PUTIKT. !! The Putiki was expected to arrive last evening with a cargo of coal. She will be discharged to-day. THE ROSAMOND. : The Rosamond is due here about SaturI day from Wellington, Picton and Nelson I with a general cargo.
