THE WEATHER
SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph —Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Meteorological Department published the following summary and forecast at 5 p.m.:—Summary—The barometer has risen everywhere, and fair to oloudv weather has predominated, but conditions have been very unsettled in the southernmost districts and on the east coast of the South Island this afternoon the aspect is now somewhat threatening about and southward of East Cape. Forecast.—Present indications are for strong south - to southeasterly winds, with cold and changeable weather, squally and showery at times, on the east coast. The barometer will gradually rise everywhere.
