SAILED. Port Chalmers. Saturday—Sailed, at 3 p.m., banpie Ariel, for Maiden Island. Wellington, Saturday—Sailed, at ;i.20 p.m., Aorangi, fur ltaratonga. THE CORINNA. Ihe Corinna, with 7tio tons of general cargo, arrived from southern ports on Saturday morning. She sailed for Wel'lington alter discharging. The Corinna, it is understood, L to return here to-morrow from Wellington with a cargo of basic slag. THE KAITUNA. The Kaituna arrived on Saturday morning from Newcastle, via Wellington, with 1 <1)0 tons of coal. Of this amount 400 tons is for the Railway Department, 450 tons for the Gas Company and 250 tons for Borthwick and Co.,' Waitara. . T,u ' Knit una has the largest net tonnage of any vessel that has so far visited New Plymouth, having a much larger register than the Tarawera, which formerly had the honor of being the largest vessel to berth here. The vessel's cargo, too, is .the largest brought to this port by one vessel. It is hoped to despatch the vessel for Greymouth to-morrow. THE MO A. The Moa is expected here to-day from \\ estport with a cargo of coal. As great demand is being made on the railway trucks, it may be impossible to discarge the ves.se! to-day.
THE ECHO. The Echo arrived from Pupon«a on Saturday night; with 1-10 tons of coal for the Railway Department. It is expected to dispatch the vessel to-morrow for Mokau. where she will load timber for New Plymouth.
