Dairy cows were in fair demand, and sold at £5 10s to £9 for ordinary sorts, and lip to £l3 for extra good. Pigs—Choppers made 70s to 72a Cd, baconers 05s to 735, lighter Sorts 50s to 57s (id (equivalent to s'/ t d per lb). Best porkers realised 42s Cd to 565, lighter sorts 35s to 40s (equal to 5d per lb). Only a few stores were offered, the demand being good. The best sorts made 22s Od .to 325, smaller 14s to 20s. Weaners realised & Gd to 13s Cd. BUHXSIDE. Best bullocks made £l2 15s to £l4, extra to £lO, medium to good £lO 10s to £ll 10s, light £8 10s to £9 10s, best cows and heifers £lO to £ll, extra to £l3 17s Od, medium to good £8 to £9 10s, light and inferior £6 to £7 10s. Fat sheep—Best wethers 22s Od to 245, extra to 275, medium to good 20s to 225, light and unfinished 17s to 19s, best ewes 18s to 20s, extra to 24s 6d, medium to good 15s Od to 17s, liglit 12s 6d to 14s. Fat lambs—Best 18s to 19s Cd, extra to 20s, medium to good 15s Cd to 17s, light and unfinished 13s to 14s Od. PALMERSTON. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd. report:— We have to report having a very good entry of stock at our Marton sale. Small lambs to 9s 2d, store ewes 8s sd, empty ewes to 10s Bd, s.m. ewes in lamb 13s lOd to 14s 7d, cull two-tooth ewes in lamb to 12s sd, f.f.m. ewes in lamb to Southdown rams 15s 7d, medium two-tooth ewes in lamb 15s lOd to 16s 3il, young ewes in lamb to 10s 3d, small two-tooth wethers 15s Bd. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:—A good yarding of bullocks came [ forward, but, owing to the rough weather, very few sheep were yarded. Prime bullocks £9 12s 6d to £9 17s od, lighter £9 5s to £9 10s, light £9, prime ewes 17s lOd, medium ewes 15s 7d, light wethers 17s 3d, prime lambs 12s 0d to 13a 6d. AUCKLAND MARKET. At Westfield yards, fat cattle were" yarded in full numbers and advanced in j prices, best >oxen selling to 30s per 1001b, > others 20s to 28s per 1001b, cows and j lieifers 24s to 26s per 1001b. Steers sold 1 at from £7 10s to £l3 10s, cows and j heifers £5 to £9 ss. Veal came foriward in good supply and sold at late rates. Heavy vealers sold to £3 ISs, medium weight £2 to £2 12s, others 21s | to 30s, smaller and fresh dropped 3s to ' 10s. Sheep, came forward in good numbers and advanced in prices from Is 6d Ito 2s per head. Best weights sold at 28s 9d, others 21s to 20s, two-tooth weth- (! ers 15s Cd to 17s 9d, heavy ewes 17s to I 20s, ewes 10s to 15a Bd. Hoggets cams j forward in good numbers and sold at higher rates.
