ENTERTAINMENTS.

EMPIRE PICTURE PALACE. The usual Saturday matinee will be held this afternoon, commencing at 2.30 sharp, when the new Saturday programme •will' be presented in its entirety. The change programme is an exceptionally strong collection, comprising two feature films by the A.B. Company, one special feature by Selig, and a Vitagraph life portrayal. The A.B. productions are "Under Burning Skies," a thrilling story of faithful love and fierce hate, and "The Girl and Her Trust," a thrilling railway drama of intense interest, including a sensational race botween the robbers and a pursuing engine. The Selig star is a tale of the Golden West, entitled "The Ace of Spades," a new Western story, absorbingly interesting and very dramatic. "The Meeting of the Ways" is one of the Vitagraph Company's most popular life portrayals. Variety is added to this admirable selection by views of Tripoli, and poultry fanciers (and others) will find much that is interesting in "A Walk through a Poultry Farm." The comics are "While the Cook Slept" (trick), "Hogan's Alley" (Edison), "Note in the Orange" (Lubin), and "The Fatal Chocolate'' (A.8.K.).
