MARTON REVIVED. By Telegraph—Prega Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Marton Jockey Club which, prior to the Racing Commission's report, had two days racing, was given an extra two days, and the Rangitikei dub, who had four days racing, was wiped out altogether in regard, to racing permits, the Commission thinking that the Marton Club would serve all purposes. Today a deputation, introduced by Mr. E. Newman, M.P., .representing the Marton Racing Club, waited on the Prime Minister and asked that the four days given to Marton should not be interfered with. The Prime Minister said that the Minister for Internal Affairs, Mr. H. D. Bell, fcad carefully considered both the Rangitikei and Marton Clubs' positions, and it had been decided that Marton should be reduced to three days, and two days should be given to Rangitikei, one of the metropolitan clubs to be reduced by one day to equalise matters. Although no legislation would be introduced during the present session, later on Lord Islington was contemplating making an exception in favor of Hunt clubs, who were suffering some hardships now, and thejr desired to giye, such clubs one day's racing a year each.'
