THE PASSENGERS SAVED. By Cable—Prests Association—Copyright. London, July 11. The P. & 0. steamer Persia, outward bound for Bombay, went ashore during a fog, at Sausset, near Marseilles. The passengers have been landed. THE PERSIA'S POSITION. Received 13, 12.15 a.m. Paris, July 12. The Persia is fast by the bows fifty yards from shore. Her position is not dangerous, and she is not making water.
The Persia is a vessel -of 7974 tons register, and has an indicated horsepower of 11,000.
