SUMMARY AXD FORECAST. By Telegraph—Pre«a Aatociatioa. Wellington. Laat Night. The Meteorological Department published the following summary and forecast at 5 p.m.:—Summary.—Cloudy and unsettled weather with rain has been reported generally, and fogs to-day on the east coa9t of the South Island. Southerly falea are reported this evening from lape Campbell and Wanganui, but the winds have moderated to-day in moat parts of the Dominion. Forecast.—Present indications are for showery and changeable conditions, probably improving temporarily in most parts of the country. The barometer is unsteady, and the winds are variable and moderating at present, but increasing northerly breezes will probably prevail shortly, for a low pressure area is due to pass in the south about Sunday night.
