Fibres prepared by the Government Statist show that the death rate of New South Wales for the last fifty years has decreased about 50 per cent. A COMMERCE CONGRESS. Received 11, 12.45 p.m. Melbourne, July 10. . The Commerce Congress adopted resolutions in favor of urging on the Federal Government the necessity for closer commercial relations with New Zealand, Canada, .South Africa, re-establishing the Vancouver mail service with Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane as ports of call, and circling Australia and Tasmania with wireless stations in the interests of commerce and the travelling public.
