NAPIER HARBOR.

"RECLAMATION WORKS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Napier, Tuesday. The Harbor Board yesterday adopted a Bill for presentation to Parliament empowering them to borrow £30,000 for reclamation work. Some ten years ago the board leased a big portion of Whare-o-Marunui reserve to a syndicate, who carried out extensive reclamation works, and Napier South, comprising over five hundred dwellings, was erected on the reclaimed land. There is still a big expanse to be dealt with, and the proposed loan is to carry this out and buy out the interests of the present syndicate.
