THE NEW ZEALAND DREADNOUGHT. By Telegraph —Press Association. Wellington, Tuesday. Mr. Craigie, M.P., has received word that Cabinet has agreed to recommend to the Admiralty the transfer of gifts donated toy New Zealanders to the cruiser Zealandia, to the New Zealand Dreadnought. ANTI-MILTTARTST DEMONSTRATION. Waihi, Tuesday.
Three Waihi youths, who returned to their tomes from Thames last evening after serving seven days' imprisonment for breaches of the Defence Act ■were met on the railway station by sections of the Socialist and Anti-Militarist parties, and the boys were placed in front of a procession which marched into the town headed by three or four instrumentalists. A red flag played a prominent part in the procession. At the Seddon memorial several speakers, including two clergymen, delivered speeches against compulsory training, and resolutions were passed congratulating the youths on t.heir refusal to comply with the requirements of tlio Act.
