SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. •The Meteorological Department published the following summary and foreoast at 5.3 p.m.:—Summary. —The weather has been mild and hazy, with increasing cloudiness and humidity, and rain is reported already in several parts of the Dominion. -Northerly winds, moderate to strong, have prevailed, and the barometer has fallen everywhere. Forecast. —Present indications are for •cloudy and unsettled weather, with rain in most parts of the country, and a change for colder weather is expected shortly, with snow on the higher levels in the south. Strong and variable, winds ■will probably give way soon to southerlies, strong to gale. The barometer is due to rise everywhere after about sixteen hours, but is falling meanwhile, especially in the north.
