HOCKEY.
Playing at Eltham, the Whakatika team of ladiea were defeated by the Reform Club by five goals to two. Misses M. McEwen and 0. Blanehard scored for the visitors. The following are the fixtures for Thursday next: —Tnglewood v. Kaponga A, at Elthjim; Hawera v. Kaponga B, at Hawera; Eltham a bye. Owing to the Auckland Association having to go to Christchurch to play for the Shield, the match with Taranaki has been abandoned. The Taranaki Association is trying to arrange for them to play a match at New Plymouth on their return,
