INFECTION IN NORTHUMBERLAND. London, July 7. Two herds are infected with the foot and mouth disease in Northumberland, and 203 cattle have been slaughtered. CATTLE MARKETS CLOSED. London, July 7. The outbreak of foot and month disease at Old Maiden has caused the movement of cattle, sheep, goats and swine to be prevented over considerable areas, and the Metropolitan Cattle Market will be closed to-morrow.
