AUCKLAND BURGLARIES
ACCUSED COMMITTED FOR TRTAL. By Telegraph—Press Association.: Auckland,. Laat Night. •■ The Police Court was crowded this morning when four men who.were last week arrested 1 on charges of burglary' Were brought before Mr. Cutten. Ernest Kirchnitz and Charles Murphy (alia.fi. Reynolds), appeared on a charge off breaking and entering the Clarendon Hotel by night on June 27 with intent to commit a crime. With them appeared also Jas. Grant and Paul Eugene Serini, who were jointly charged with breaking and entering the store of A. J. Ellyett at Mt. Eden, on May 12, and stealing £3O. Scrim was further charged (that on June 7 he broke into and entered the counting house of Cousins ami Atkins, at Mechanics Bay, with intent to commit a crime. Jointly with Murphy he was charged that, on June 20, he broke and entered the Great Northern Brewery premises, with intent to commit a crime. On the application of Chief Detective Marsack accused were remanded for a week. Serim, Grant and Murphy asked for bail, but the application was refused.
