On the ?ame day in my Douglas yards I had a fair lot of cattle and about 50fl sheep yarded. Bidding throughout was good, everything being cleared, with -the exception of two small lines of 20-months in calf heifers. On Thursday at Mangatoki I held a sale of Mr. G. Parke's dairy stock and farm sundries. Notwithstanding the wretched day, I had a very large attendance of buyers from all parts of the district. The cows were a very nice Shorthorn-Jersey line in fine condition, showing well forward, and met with good competition, averaging just £lO for the line. The horses, implements, gigs and sundries eold very readily.
