Won by two lengths. Five horses started. Time,— 4min. 3sec. A meeting of representatives of country racing clubs is to be held in Wel-i lington on July 10. Amongst the business to be considered is a Bill promoted witl» • the object of restoring days of racing ' taken away under the recommendation of the Racing Commission. A : deputation will wait on the Prime Minister wittv the object of urging the Government'to ' support the Bill. An endeavor is to ba made to get the law altered so that the Government tax shall apply to the net •. profits of clubs. It is also proposed tp establish a New Zealand Country Racing Clubs' Association, and to ask lor increased representation on- the New Zea- ■' land Racing Conference. !
