THE ASSOCIATION GAME. MAXAWATU v. WELLINGTON. By Telegraph—Press Association. Paltnerston North, Last Night. The Association football match, Manawatu v. Wellington, played here to-day at the Winter .Show, provided a very sterling contest, ending in a draw, with two goals each. Manawatu had all the best of tho game, and bad shooting was responsible for not winning. Hughes and Roots scored for Wellington, and Wag-staff and Hcarsey for Manawatu. Despite the ground being sloppy, the exhibition given was of a high standard. The matches between the New Plymouth High School and the Stratford High School will be played on the Racecourse to-day: The junior match will start at 11.15 a.m. and the senior match at 1.45 p.m.
