SUMMARY AND FORECAST. < By Telegraph—Presß Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Meteorological Department published the following summary and forecast at 5 p.m.:—Summary.-—Cloudy and ■unsettled weather has prevailed, with rain in parts. The barometer has fallen «verywhere, with increasing northerly and westerly winds. Forecast: —Present indications are for high westerly winds, ■veering to a southerly gale shortly. The barometer will probably fall for a few hours in the north, but a rapid rise may he expected soon. Rain is probable generall yand snow on the higher levels, with colder weather.
