"SOCIALIST TYRANNY." Waihi, June 25, The following three resolutions wa unanimously adopted at a meeting the Katikati Road Board. "(1) Tb the ratepayers and inhabitants of t! district, most respectfully submit to tl Government that the sale of their loc produce and consequent welfare a most seriously affected by the senselt strike ordered by the tyrannical acth of Socialistic agitators against a eecth of loyal and intelligent fellow worka resulting in serious injury to all class of the community; (2) .that such aofcii being opposed to the unwritten law ju principles of the democracy as 6ubv< sive to the interests of the general pu lie, this, board appeals to our politic rulers in Parliament to sink all min differences and form a strong Gover ment on the lines as stated by Mr. Dt ham, the Prime Minister of Democrat Queensland, to protect the workl against themselves, and by framing liberal conciliation policy to meet H very legitimate demand by honest lab independent of class considerations, ▼! a liberal land policy for the settreme of the country, thereby encouraging,« not driving away capital from « shores; (3) that the above resoiutto be forwarded to the Hon. the Prii Minister and to Mr. Massey, the lead) of the Liberal and Reform section*our Parliamentary representatives."
