Semple anj Webb on the Waihi and Reefton dis putes. The following resolution waj passed: "In connection with the Wain; strike it is the opinion of the meethu that the interpretation of the Concilia tion and Arbitration Act by the Crowl law officers is contrary to the intentiq of the legislature and altogether again* the interests of the workers, in view q the fact that it brings about compulsor arbitration, and we are further of opii ion that the men of Reefton are juatifie) in resisting the introduction of thi single-handed popper, and they have on utmost sympathy in the lock-out."
