To-morrow night and on Friday night the public of New Plymouth will be offered an opportunity of seeing some enthusiastic boxing, as the Taranaki open championships are to be decided in the Theatre Royal on those dates. The programme will also include boxing by the Territorials and novice and special classes. The entries already are between forty and fifty, and this should provide two good nights' entertainment. The contests will be contested under the rules of the New Zealand Association, and it is admitted that there is no stricter or cleaner sporting organisation m the country that this particular body.
