CARRIED OVER NIAGARA. By Cablfr—Press Assotiatiom—Capyrhjh*. New York, June 24. The excursion wharf at West Shore, Grand Island, collapsed, and 100 persons were precipitated into the water. Five bodies have been recovered. Eighteen are missing, and no hope is entertained of their safety. The wharf was situated twelve miles above the Niagara Falls, and the swift current carried off the struggling mass of humanity. Those clinging to the broken wharf saw others carried from their sight, but were unable to give aid.
