MEETING OP THE ASSOCIATION. A meeting of delegates of the Taranaki Hockey Association was held last evening. Members present were— Messrs. Skep worth (Eltham, in the chair), Priest (Inglewood), Kemp (Hawera) and J. E. Avery (secretary). The secretary of the New Zealand Hockey Association advised the meeting that it was its intention to forward several suggestions for improvements in the rules of the game to the Hockey Association (England). It was decided to play representative matches on tour against Hawke's Bay on August 6, Wairarapa. August 8, Wei- 1 lington August 10, and. Manawatu Au-1 gust 14. It was decided to disqualify the Waitara Club, which has not played a match | this season, for not affiliating with the 1 Association. ! The meeting resolved to hold a men's ffre-R-side and a ladies' seven-fc-eide tour- j nament at New Plymouth on September I 12. This is open to Saturday players at New Plymouth. j
