SHOT IN THE STREET. By Gable—Press Association—Copyright. Sydney, June 24. Mrs. Margaret Biddle, who was shot in the street at Surrey Hills on June 15, died on Saturday. Thomas Evans, who formerly lodged with Mrs. Biddle, has been arrested in connection with the crime. A CALLOUS MURDER. Received 24, 9.50 p.m. Rome, June 24. Cristoform Ponzoni, who was placed in an asylum for murdering his wife and son in 1910, escaped and went to the village of Valmadonna, where he murdered his brother, the latter' 9 wife and two children. He then returned to the asylum.
