KORU. (From Our Own Correspondent.). A special meeting of the directors and suppliers of the Koru creamery was held on Thursday last by Mr. H. Watson (a director) for the purpose of enquiring into a complaint lodged by Mr. P. Green (one of the suppliers), which was, in effect, that he would not supply the creamery. with milk Tjnless the manager was asked to resign, and also owing to the daily, delay in arriving and leaiving the creamery. The,chairman (Mr. Matthews) remarked, on opening the meeting,, that he was sorry to hear of this trouble, and, hoped that their gathering together would be . the means of settling the unpleasantness. He then called upon Mr, . (Green to give ■his reasons for adopting; this course. This, unfortunately, he absolutely refused to do, with the exception that he mentioned that part of was dissatisfied. Thereupon, the suggestion was put forward by Mr. W. Mace that ''the part of the district" referred to shouM, if only in justice to Mr. GrcieTi,'p'ut in 1 ''ad appearance 'to substantiate the .above statement, and not leave him" to fight their : battle as well as his own.
After further remarks njade, by Messrs Sinith, Jury, Morris, I.; Mjwe and Looney, the directors, after a> sb'prt.; consultation, came to the conclusion that they could see no reason for compl/iijitjaftjer hearing the (Satisfactory opinions of, practically all the suppliers. Nevertheless,. it was unamiously decided to close-'the creamery daily at 9 o'clock each morning during the summer months and, 9.30 in the wintpr" ' '
