Beebv, Miinster for Labor, foreshadowed additional land taxation for the purpose of breaking up large areas of land close to raihvsiys, suitable for closer settlement.
MURRAY WATERS IRRIGATION SCHEME. Received 24, 12.20 a.m. Sydney, June 23. Mr. Beeby announced that next session he would introduce a Bill providing for the utilisation of the Murray waters to irrigate 400,000 acres of land at present useless owing to the want of water.
