There wert 1800 spectators. Somerset did bettei than in the first innings. ,At the lun« cheon adjournment there were threa wickets down for 97. The best »tand was when Bisgood and Robson added 39 for the sixth wicket. The remaining batsmen added 30 runs. Daniell played carefully and faultlessly for 75 minutes. Bisgood was taken at the wickets by Webster standing back. He had been in for 75 minutes. His cutting wa» excellent and he made some lucky snicks. He hit eight fours. Robson's cutting and driving were good. He was at th« wickets for forty minutes and hit si* fours. Australia won without the loss of a wicket, Mayne and Kelleway hitting off- : the necessary runs in 05 minutes. Mayn« hit all round the wicket, and Kelleway, did some good driving.
