REMOVAL OF PATIENTS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Friday. The buildings at the Quarantine Island, Motuihi, are being* got in order for the reception of about a hundred patients from the Avondale Mental Hospital, which is at present so overcrowded. In the meantime, about fifty patients will be sent up within the next fortnight to the new hospital at Tokanui, near Kihikihi, and this will give immediate relief. Thg accommodation at these outside places is, of course, only temporary, and. plans are now being prepared at Wellington for the permanent enlargement of the buildings at Arondale, in accordance with the scheme outlined by the Minister for Internal Affairs when hewas in Auckland.
