PERSONAL.
(Mir. R. W. D. Robertson is back at New Plymouth from a trip to the Old Country. Mr. J. Fuller, of John Fuller & Sons, was on a visit to New Plymouth yesterday, and will return to Wellington today. The Harbor Board yesterday passed a resolution expressing sympathy with the widow of the late Mr. R. A. Gray in her sad bereavement. Mr, F. J. Heatley, who has- been subpoenaed to give evidence in the pending libel suit, Gordon v. New Zealand Times, will leave on Monday for Napier, where the action is to be heard. Before proceeding with the ordinary business at the Harbor Board meeting yesterday, the chairman, Mr. J. B. Connett, referred to the great loss the Board had sustained by the death of Mr. Wm. Swadling, one'of its members, who had always taken a keen interest in matters connected with the harbor. The Board passed a resolution of sympathy with the relatives of the late Mr. Swadling in their bereavement, and formally adjourned for a few minutes as a mark of respect.
