At the last sittings of the Supreme Court in Invercargill Ferrer was sentenced to three years' reforms,- ■ ■ tory detention for attempted rape at - Riverton. lie was suspected of making 4 an attempt to escape within a few diya j, of entering the prison. In due course Ferrer will be charged before the Magia- ' trnte with attempting to escape from ii legal custody.
