A NEW 'ZEALANDER ARRESTED. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 17, 9.5 p.m. Sydney, June 17. Norman Edwin Keels, described as a recent arrival from New Zealand, has been remanded; on a charge of housebreaking. He was found in possession of a week-ender's cottage at Manly, and was chased and captured. He had a loaded revolver in his possession. TIMARU OASES. By Telegraph—Press Association. Timaru, Last Night. Thomas Docksey, with several aliases, was remanded to-day for a week on charges of issuing valueless cheques in Timaru, and obtaining diamond rings by false pretences in Auckland. Charges of issuing cheques at Christchurch and Port Chalmers will be taken at those places, on prisoner's own confession. A man who has been in a small way of business in Timaru lias been arrested for issuing a series of valueless cheques on the day he cleared out.
