THE WEATHER.
SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Meteorological Department published the following summary and forecast at 5 p.m.: —Summary.—The barometer rose everywhere during the night, but has fallen again to-day. Rain has '■' fallen on the east coast of the North Island, and on the west coast of the South Island to-day, but fair to cloudy weather has prevailed, with variable ■winds. Forecast.—Present indications are for increasing northerly winds, cloudy and misty weather preceding a change for rain in most parts of the country. The barometer will fall everywhere, and will probably be low in the south, but a rise is due to take place about Sunday for colder weather.
