ROOSEVELT'S THREAT. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Eeceived 13, 11.5 p.m. New York, June 13. President Taft has so far secured 128 contested votes at the Chicago Convention. Mr. Roosevelt's supporters are indulging in violent recriminations against tlie committee. One caused an unprecedented sensation by declaring that if President Taft were non-inated it was possible that the Roosi alters would divide the Republican vo'.e in the National College, throwing the selection to the Democrats. Mr. Roosevelt, in a speech at Oyster Bay, said that he intended to submit an unequivocal declaration in favor of women's suffrage to the Chicago Convention.
