BOGUS BOOTS. By Telegraph —Press Association. Christchurch, Wednesday. The Cost of Living Commission resumed its sittings this morning. A representative of a disinfectant firm related that the Merchants' Association had tried to induce his principals at Home to give the association the handling of their goods. A boot operator explained how New Zealand goods had been branded with foreign brands in order to deceive the public. He said that it was done at the request of retailers. A boot manufacturer corroborated this evidence.
