THREATENED FAMINE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, Last Night. A local coal agent informed a reporter to-day that lie was experiencing great difficulty at present in securing sufficient coal to supply orders. Customers in several cases were taking double and treble the quantities usually ordered, to be on the safe side should the Federation of Labor call the miners out on strike. All the mines in Otago are working at high pressure, trying to keep pace with the demand.
