Jesus College remained head of the river in the May races at Cambridge. | Gray, of Napier, and Roger Gould, of Christchurch, rowed in the boat. The Australian oarsmen are practising steadily. Residents of Cookham are showing them much hospitality. They will g6 to Henley on the 23rd. Their form has improved greatly since Mr. Middleton obtained a fast launch, from, which he coaches them.
ENGLISH OR AUSTRALIAN. Received 11, 11.35 p.m. London, June 11. The New College Oxford crew will represent England at Stockholm. The crew includes Littlejohn, whom both England and Australia nominated. The authorities said that if Australia claimed him he would not be permitted to row for England, whereupon the Australians waived their claim, though he is now regarded as Australia's strongest opponent.
