THE IMMIGRATION POLICY. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 10, 9.30 p.m. Sydney, June 10. The Labor Congress, by 20 votes to 13, carried a resolution requesting the Government to discontinue the immigration policy. The congress rejected an amendment asking for a limitation of the immigration to competent persons for whom legitimate employment was available without displacing local workers.
