Rarawa, from North, Friday. THE ROTOITI. The Rotoiti was bar-bound at Onehunga yesterday, and consequently could not cross the bar till 1.'30 yesterday afternoon. She should arrive here early this morning, THE TE ANAU. The Te Anau has been delayed in her West Coast running, and will therefore miss her trip here this week. THE MOA. The Moa, after discharging her cargo of coal yesterday, sailed at i p.m. for Westport.
WHALING ENTERPRISE. The New Zealand Whaling Company, who are shortly to commence operations, have a working capital of £60,000, and though Norwegians are principally concerned in the enterprise, there are large shareholders in England and the Dominion. The four steamers Whangarei, Whangaroa, Hawk, and Eagle felt Fremantle for Westport, where the vessels are due to load bunker coal about the middle of June. The two former steamers are to be used in northern waters particularly, and have a speed of 11 knots. The Hawk and Eagle are larger vessels, their dimensions being: Length 114 ft and breadth 21ft. They develop horse-power and a speed of 13% knots. The sailer Prince George and the s.s. Rakiuna, 2221 tons, are due in New Zealand some time hence. Captain L. S. Hasle is the Dominion manager.
