Wheat.—The markets are quiet and the only demand for cargoes is from France, which purchased six on Wednesday, favorable, crop reports and the large quantity on passage causing dullness; 40s 3d is asked for South Australian for delivery early in February, 3!)s 3d for Victorian and New South Wales March-April, 38s 3d for parcels afloat. The strike has stopped the spot trade. Australian is quoted at 41s. "All the New Zealand wheat is exhausted. Flour.-—Quiet. Australian, 27s 6d to 28s for store, 26s 3d for May-June shipments. Oats.—Dull. Garton shipment May 24s to 24s fid, La. Plata May-June 17s fid. Peas. —Quiet; maples 28s to 28s fid at store. Beans. —Dull; New Zealand May shipment 365. Copper.—Spot £7B 10s, three months £79; electrolytic £Bl. Tin—Spot £203, three months £195 10s. Lead, £l7 2s 6d. Spelter, £25 17s 6d. Pig iron, 53s 9d. Sugar.—German lis 7d, first marks 15s. Bradford Wool. —Firm; forty-sixes 14y 2 d, forties 15y 2 d; others unchanged. Butter.—The colonial trade is almost at a standstill, though prices are nominally unchanged. A few police escorted boxes arriving in Tooley street, as they daily discharged at the docks, but the work is very slow, especially at Tilbury. Danish butter is firm at 124s to 1255.
