EMPIRE PICTURE PALACE." Picture patrons are given a final re minder of their last chance to view the great and wonderful picture conception, "Zigomar v. Nick Carter," at the matinee commencing at 2.30 this afternoon. To-night at eight o'clock "Zigomar v. Nick Carter" will be introduced to the Empire Pictures' Waitara patrons in St. John's Hall. At the Empire Picture Palace to-night another great star attraction will be presented, in the form of a sensational drama. "The Rose Rouge," or "His Life for a Flower." This picture is direct from the Wellington programme, where it has been drawing good crowds to MacMahon and Donnelly's new theatre during the first part of the week. It is described as a thrilling modern drama which has all the violence of a tragedy, and also introduces the weird and mystic dance of the world notorious Apache. Supporting "The Red Rose" is a specially selected programme of the most up-to-date picture releases, including "The Battle of Pottsburg Bridge (Kalem) and "Lieut. Rose and the Stolen Battleship."
