SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph—Press Association. • ~ Wellington, Last Night. The Meteorological Department published the following summary and forecast at 5 p.m.:—Nummary .—The weather has been cold and changeable generally, with showers in parts, and moderate to strong south-westerly winds. The barometer has risen in the south, but risen and fallen again slightly in the north. Forecast.—Present indications are for strong southerly winds generally, cool and changeable probably generally, with indications for fine weather following shortly, although the conditions are not yet settled either in the northern or southernmost districts. The barometer will probably rise everywhere.
